Pokémon Scarlet and Violet initially had 400 Pokémon and the addition of Charizard makes it 401. However, the possibility to breed Charizard in Scarlet and Violet also means you’ll be adding two more Pokémon to the game (Charmander and Charmeleon), which will bring the game’s total Pokémon count to 403.

So the answer to the question, is YES, you can breed the Charizard in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet and it can be Shiny as well. To do this, however, you’ll a Ditto, a picnic and of course, some patience.

The Charizard also breeds the same way as other Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet do. And since it’s not easy to get, you’ll need a friend to either help you with the raid or find another player who has Charmanders to trade.
