Shiny Koffing
Koffing is a Pokémon introduced in the original 151 Pokémon from Generation 1. It is a Poison-type Pokémon and an uncommon find in the original games.
In Pokémon GO, Koffing is admittedly easier to acquire, while its Shiny version may not be. Shiny Koffing has a color variation from the original and although its stats aren’t affected, the Shiny version is highly coveted due to its rarity.

When it comes to Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon GO, they get introduced in special events. Shiny Koffing follows the same rules, being introduced to the game in the Team Rocket special event.
With Jessie and James from the Pokémon anime being introduced in Pokémon GO in 2020, it only made sense that their trusty Pokémon, Weezing and Arbok, came along with them. Unlike their Pikachu obsession in the Pokémon anime, in Pokémon GO, Jessie and James are interested in creating Shadow Pokémon.
While searching for ways to put a stop to these Shadow Pokémon, players have reported seeing Shiny versions of both Koffing and Ekans, at quite an increased rate as per normal Shiny Pokémon rates.
This increased encounter rate for Shiny Koffing and Shiny Ekans were only available for a limited period of time during the event, but ever since then, their Shiny forms have been unlocked and available for players to catch anytime!
