In our Call Me A Legend tips and tricks guide, we will go over the base building basics, and how to win your first set of zombie battles. We will go over how to gather more resources, unlock new beauties, and of course power up your heroes. Let’s get started with our Call Me A Legend tips and cheats strategy guide to starting your base right!

Starting Your Base

In Call Me A Legend, you are the commander of a newly found survivor base. Here, you will setup your Headquarters, where all of the important decisions happen, and where most players start. We will start there to give you a quick run down.

The first thing you should note are Operations. Tap the pile of cash on the main desk to go to the Operations menu, where you can collect various resources from your established resource centers. There are three main centers: shipping, farming, and training. Shipping generates cash and fuel, farming generates food, and training generates troop power.

Each center can store up to five charges, and each charge is worth a single collection. The centers’ charges regenerate over time, and the generate very quickly, so it is worth your time to check the centers frequently.

Next are the Political Affairs, accessed by the laptop on the main desk. Like the Operations, Political Affairs are extra chances at earning some resources. You will be presented with a situation, and you must either agree or disagree to it. Agreeing will net you some resources, while disagreeing will grant you an Affair Event, an item that you can use to automatically get a new Affair to deal with. Affairs will regenerate over time, but you can use an Affair Event to get one right away.

Dating Beauties

Since you are a dashing young lad, why not try your hand at the dating scene? That is something most people do during a zombie outbreak, right? Beauties are, as the name implies, beautiful women who will be stationed at your Headquarters once they are rescued.

Once you finish the tutorial, you will start the game out with the first beauty Delia. Each Beauty is tied to a specific hero, and the more affectionate you are with the Beauty, the more power the hero will get. For example, Delia is tied to Jason, your starting rare unit.

To get closer to a Beauty, you must go on dates with them using diamonds. Diamonds are considered the premium currency of the game, so you need to make sure you spend them wisely. Every time you go on a date, a Beauty’s charm intimacy will increase, granting additional bonuses.

You can see your progress using the bar at the bottom of the screen. Once you get around 12 intimacy, the Beauty will unlock her first skill which will power up the tied hero significantly. Improving these abilities is the key to building a strong army.

You may also find gifts out in the field, which can be given to the Beauties as a way to improve their intimacy without having to go on a diamond date. This function is helpful if you are running low on diamonds.

When you get closer with Beauties, their charm stat also goes up. You can actually assign Beauties to Operations, and this will boost the amount of resources you get from the Operations. The amount boosted is determined by the Beauties’ charm stat.

Fighting and Upgrading Heroes

Battles happen in real-time, and you get to watch your heroes take down hordes of zombies. Your troop count is basically your overall health, and the stronger your heroes are, the less troops you will lose between battles.

The game will warn you if you attempt to fight a battle in which you will lose a lot of troops if not outright lose the battle, so if you see this message it is time to power up. Your heroes are pretty straight forward when it comes to leveling them up.

The first method of powering them up is using cash to level them up. The higher level they are, the more cash you will need to upgrade them, but this is the first thing you should attempt to do before anything else.

Next up is potential. Each hero has special “potential” skills that can be upgraded using reinforcement books. These books are rare and they can be found during the campaign levels, so keep on playing through to get more. The basic reinforcement book as a 50% success rate, so try to use the better books on your favorite heroes.

Finally, you can grade up a hero if you have enough shards of them. Grading up a hero will increase the amount of stars they have and unlocks new abilities and grants them a huge stat boost. Grading up should be done as much as possible once you get enough shards.

Resource Search

After you clear the first few sets of levels, you will unlock Resource Search. In Resource Search, you will explore a mini area full of resources nodes that must be captured. When it is captured, a node will generate resources for you automatically over time – they just need to be collected from the main desk at Headquarters.

As you progress through the campaign, you will unlock additional areas for you to search. When you are searching through an area, there is a good chance you will come across zombies. You will need to fight them with a smaller team than usual, so take that into account.

Finding More Beauties

If you want to power up your heroes in a significant way, the best way to do that is through the Beauty boost. To do this, you will need to recruit more Beauties, and we will walk you through the slightly convoluted process.

First off, you will need to head into the town. The town will unlock once you progress far enough in the campaign. When you are here, you will need to do a town-wide search to narrow down your spots. Tap the Search button at the below to perform a search, and if it is successful you will locate the potential Beauties in one of the spots.

You can only search three times before you run out of energy, at which point you must wait for your energy to recharge. It only takes 30 minutes to recover one point of energy, so you do not have to wait that long.

Anyways, once you pinpoint where a Beauty is, head into that location. You can choose what Beauties you want by tapping on them to bring up their profiles. From here, you will need to use Search Invitations to search a location. Whenever you search, the progress bar at the top will fill up. When it fills up all the way, your favorability will go up with one of the random Beauties. When their favorability increases all the way, the Beauty will be yours!

When you get a new Beauty, you can see what hero they are tied to. Do not forget to go on some dates with them so that you can unlock their hero boosting ability. That is where the true power lies!

Training at the Academy

Heroes have special abilities that are unlocked when they are high enough rarity. However, in order to upgrade those abilities, they need skill experience, which can only be earned at the Military Academy.

In the Military Academy, you can assign a hero to a study spot. After the allotted time passes, they will earn skill experience. The amount of time you need to wait depends on the hero, but it is usually around an hour or so.

Final Tips

  • Your pet can find you valuable items and boosters, but you must remember to send it out. Be sure to feed it and play with it, as the more loyalty it has the better the items will be.
  • When you go on dates, there is a chance your Beauties will give birth to a baby. The baby can grow up once you tend to you it, and they can offer help around Headquarters. You need to check in with them often.
  • Keep completing the main missions, checking in as you do them by the banner at the bottom of the screen. They will reward you with plenty of resources so that you can keep on progressing without having to pause.
