Who ya gonna call? Just in time for the spooky season, BitLife has started a new challenge for those who want to get into the Halloween spirit! Introducing the Ghostbuster challenge where players must hunt down a ghost in a haunted house and exorcise them!
This challenge has its requirements laid out and there are no secret objectives, so the challenge is pretty straightforward. Nevertheless, we are here to show you the exact steps so let’s get started with our BitLife tips and cheats guide on how to finish the Ghostbuster challenge!
Choose to Live in the United States of America
The first objective of this challenge is to be a citizen of the United States of America. This is the easiest objective to complete since you don’t need to have a Bitzen membership to choose your starting country. Simply set your birthplace to be USA and you are good to go!
Alternatively, you can also move to the United States if you live somewhere else. You need to be 18 years old before you can move, and you have to make sure that you don’t get into any trouble.
Avoid crime, stay in school, make some money, and you should be able to move over to the US with no hiccups, though the easiest method is to just start in the US!

The Power of Christ Compels You
Next up, you’ll need to become imbued with the holy spirit itself. That’s right – you need to become a bona fide exorcist, and according to BitLife this is just a job you can enter with no prior training!
Take a look at the full-time job listings every year once you’re an adult and keep an eye out for the exorcist job. It’s not really known whether or not this job requires certain attributes to be at specific levels or not, because from testing it seems that this job appears at random.
If it doesn’t appear, just advance a year and keep checking until it does. This step of the challenge is pretty reliant on random luck, so don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t appear right away.
In the mean time, it is strongly recommended to find another full-time job somewhere else so that you can rack up some dough. You’re going to have to buy a house for the next step, and that can be pretty costly so it’s best to be prepared.

Haunted House on the Hill
Once you become an exorcist and you have some money to your name, it’s time to start looking for some houses. Go to Assets, then go Shopping, then go to the Real Estate Brokers where you can look at the listings.
Check both Accent Realty and De Clercq & Janssens Realty listings and look for any haunted houses. If you find any, tap on it and you’ll see a new “hauntedness” bar in addition to the usual condition bar.
You’ll want to buy a house that has a pretty high hauntedness bar. The reason being is that the final objective in the Ghostbuster challenge is to exorcise ten spirits from houses you own. The more hauntedness a house has, the more spirits it’s containing. If you completely clear a house of spirits, you’ll need to buy another house which can be expensive.
To start an exorcism, you’ll need to look at your house’s details in the Assets menu. You’ll be presented with a list of spirits currently haunting the house, and you can choose which one to exorcise.
The actual process of exorcising a spirit is pretty random as far as we can tell, and there isn’t really anything you can do to improve your odds. Perform the exorcism, and if it fails just try again. Eventually you’ll get it, and once you exorcise your tenth spirit, you will have officially completed the challenge!
