Best Way to Farm Alpha Blissey for XP in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released last month after much fanfare and hype. It is the latest installment in the Pokémon series and takes a much different turn than its predecessors do in terms of storytelling and game mechanics.

The game takes place in the ancient Hisui region, which would become modern-day Sinnoh. Fighting and capturing Pokémon is drastically different with battles taking place on the overworld instead of turn-based instance battles, as was the staple of the series thus far.

One feature that was introduced was that of Alpha Pokémon. These stronger counterparts to their normal versions add an extra element of challenge to the game.

Alpha Pokémon

Alpha Pokémon were introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. These Pokémon are stronger variations to their normal forms and are recognizable by their red, glowing eyes.

These Pokémon are scattered all throughout the Hisui region, making each of them quite a coveted catch. They offer more of a challenge to battle and capture and will be quite a powerful addition to the player’s team.

One of these Pokémon that spawn as an Alpha is Blissey. Blissey has been known throughout the Pokémon series as being the Pokémon with the highest HP pool and thus, takes a while to defeat. Usually, defeating a Blissey in battle rewards the winner with a huge amount of XP. This method of power-leveling can be done in Pokémon Legends: Arceus by beating Alpha Blissey, but how does one find it?

How to catch and farm Alpha Blissey

One place where Alpha Blissey is a guaranteed spawn is in the Obsidian Fieldlands. Once the player gains a way to climb walls, getting here should not take too much effort.

Note that the Alpha Blissey is found to the north of the entrance to Oreburrow Tunnel and is level 62, so players should come prepared. It is extremely weak to fighting moves, and we recommend stealth as the best course of action. Once the player defeats it, they will gain an EXP Candy L.

After acquiring this, head back to Jubilife Village to reset the spawn and keep going back there to farm EXP Candy L to make the leveling process easier!
