Best Kirby Game For Beginners

If the style of Kirby games is completely foreign to you, a good one to start with would be the very recent Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It’s the least linear of the games, instructs you on the copy abilities, and gives you some hints on where things are hidden. The story is also completely new, so you don’t have to have played anything prior to understanding what’s happening. This game is the perfect way to get your foot in the door of the franchise.

Best Kirby Game For Multiplayer

If you want to try a multiplayer Kirby game, Star Allies is the perfect choice. Gameplay wise it falls a bit flat, but it does the multiplayer option really well. It also isn’t too difficult, which makes it perfect to play with a group of people where everyone’s skills may be different. There’s also Kirby’s Return To Dreamland, but that one, while it does contain multiplayer, has an iconic story that is better enjoyed in single player mode.

Best Kirby Game For Experienced Players

The Crystal Shards is for experienced Kirby players and those who prefer something more challenging. It’s painfully linear, requires decent problem-solving skills, and has no hand-holding. There’s also no dialogue, so you need to use context clues to follow the story. In addition, you must collect every crystal if you want the game’s proper ending. Luckily it isn’t a particularly long game, so doing this isn’t too farfetched. Kirby 64 is nostalgic, challenging, and charming all in one.

You can check Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards on the Nintendo Switch Store right now!
