Candace is a 4-star Hydro polearm character released in Genshin Impact 3.1 update. She is a descendant of King Deshret and is the defender of Aaru Village, located in the desert region of Sumeru.

Candace shares many similarities with Yunjin, the renowned opera singer from Liyue. Both of their elemental bursts boost the normal attack damage. The remarkable thing about Candace is that her burst provides hydro infusion for a short time. Candace’s elemental skill is a counterattack like Yunjin and Beidou, which absorbs damage based on her max HP.

Best Weapons for Candace

Since Candace is all about using her elemental burst, players are recommended to use weapons with Energy Recharge. Favonius Lance is the best weapon for Candace. It provides 30.6% Energy Recharge and has a passive effect for generating more energy particles. Players will need to build a little Crit Rate on Candace to trigger Favonius Lance’s passive consistently.

Other than Favonius Lance, players can also use other Energy Recharge weapons, such as The Catch, Prototype Starglitter, etc. If players can get 200%+ Energy Recharge from artifact stats, they can use the 3-star weapon Black Tassel on Candace for extra HP.

Best Artifacts for Candace

Candace can use the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige set to boost her teammates’ ATK by 20%. As she is supposed to use her burst frequently, this artifact set is best for her in a supporting role.

As for artifact stats, players are recommended the following:

Sands: ER or HP%
Goblet: Hydro% or HP%
Circlet: Crit Rate or HP%

Crit Rate circlet is highly recommended when running Favonius Lance on Candace. If Candace is the only Hydro character in the party, she will need around 220% Energy Recharge to get her elemental burst back quickly. Once the Energy Recharge requirement is met, players can focus on building Crit stats and HP% on Candace.

Candace can work as an alternative to Yunjin in Genshin Impact. Players can also use Candace in a double Hydro team to get extra HP from Hydro resonance and lower her energy requirements.
