Get the best Abomasnow moveset in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet for your next win!

Abomasnow may not be the most obvious choice for many players—especially because it is extremely vulnerable against Fire-type Pokémon—but it can still be a valuable addition to your team if you equip it with the right moves.

This Grass/Ice-type Pokémon evolves from Snover at level 40 and can be found in Montenevera. If you plan to use it in a Tera Raid against Ground-, Water-, Grass-, or Electric-type Pokémon, check out the best moves for your Abomasnow in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Best Abomasnow Moves in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

We analyzed both TM and level-up moves for Abomasnow and came up with this list that you can use as the best Abomasnow build:

  • Blizzard
  • Giga Impact
  • Leaf Storm
  • Solar Beam

Blizzard is a TM move (TM 143) with Power 110, and it can leave the opponent frozen. It is particularly effective against Grass-, Ground-, Flying-, and Dragon-type Pokémon. You can get it after beating ten trainers in Glaseado Mountain.

Giga Impact (TM 152) does what its name promises—it devastates the opponent with its Power 150 but prevents the user from moving on the next turn. You can find it on the smaller of two islands near the coast of the East Province.

Leaf Storm (TM 159) is super effective against Water-, Ground-, and Rock-type Pokémon. It comes with Power 130, but it brings the user’s Special Attack by two levels. Leaf Storm can be obtained in North Province (Area Three) after defeating four trainers.

Solar Beam (TM 168) requires two turns—it charges in the first and attacks in the second move. This is the case unless Sunny Day is active (both parts happen in the same move then). Still, the move’s Power of 120 can be worth it. You can find it at the mouth of the river near Casseroya Lake in West Province (Area Two).

Best Abomasnow Ability in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Your Abomasnow will be at its most useful if equipped with the Snow Warning ability, which brings a hailstorm that lasts for five turns.
