Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream: How Long to Beat

Despite some developers not supporting the Nintendo Switch as they do other consoles and PC, there are many who continue to release all their latest games on the console, allowing players to take their favorite games on the go. Among these developers is Gust, the creator of the Atelier series, which is supporting the console nicely by releasing all the latest entries in its long-running series.

The latest entry in the Atelier franchise, Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, is now available on Nintendo Switch, bringing some very nice lighthearted role-playing game fun to the console. Lighthearted, however, doesn’t mean short, as the game takes quite a few hours to complete.

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream: How Long to Beat

Being a role-playing game, Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream is a rather long game, although it isn’t a massive 100 plus hours monster game like some other modern role-playing games.

To complete the game with a minimal amount of side objectives requires around 40 hours, depending on how quickly you can grasp some of the game’s core mechanics like the alchemy system and if you have prior experience with the series and the original Atelier Sophie. If you want to truly see everything the game has to offer, such as discovering all alchemy recipes, raising friendship levels to the max, and completing all sidequests, you are looking at a much longer total playtime, well above the 60 hours mark.
