Pokémon Unite is a new free-to-play MOBA. This game allows you to become a Pokémon Trainer. You will need to train your Pokémon and improve your skill to play better in competitive matches. However, you won’t be able to find opponents for every match. In cases like that, Pokémon Unite, like most other MOBA games may have some bots. Does Pokémon Unite have bots and if so, how do they work? This guide will answer this question.
Are there Bots in Pokémon Unite?
Pokémon Unite like many other MOBA games has bots. There are no game modes like Player vs AI. To encounter bots you will need to play regular matches or ranked ones.
The game has the instant type of matchmaking what means that it finds you a match instantly but there are some worrying things. If Pokémon Unite doesn’t manage to find you human opponents it will give to you AI ones. That causes some anger between Pokémon Unite players, as bots appear to be very predictable and easy to beat.
Bots in Pokémon Unite
Pokémon Unite may give you some bots in a match, but how do their scripts work? It appears that they are not as good as most of us would like. AI opponents usually go to a chosen lane and charge straight ahead of the first wild Pokémon or opposing Pokémon they encountered. At 20% they usually try to flee. That is the biggest part of their strategy and the fact how easy they are to beat may cause you to feel insulted. You can run into bots at any rank. Of course the higher your title is the lesser matches with bots you will get but still there are players from Master rank that complain about bots.
The only hope we have is that it is just a temporary solution and developers will rework the matchmaking system in Pokémon Unite.
