Chapter 3 of Fortnite has another season 1 challenge for us, and this one is tricky! A new Season Challenge has appeared in our challenges list and it’s a 2-part task involving a bit of travel and hunting down some important items. Head to The Sanctuary, or any of the Seven Outposts, for the first part of the challenge and to receive your orders! After you have listened to the orders, you can start searching for telescopes to destroy and collect parts. Find out where they are all located in our guide below.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 Telescope Locations
We started at The Sanctuary, where we listened to our orders to destroy and collect the telescope parts, then managed to find the first telescope part in the same area.
The telescopes are situated in nine spots around the map. They are mainly found at Outposts around the edge of the map. To complete the challenge, you must find 3 of the 9 telescope parts, destroy them, and collect the parts.
The easiest and quickest way to complete the challenge is to drop into The Sanctuary, listen to the audio, find the first telescope nearby, and then move to the two islands to the east. The challenge must be completed in a single match, so this is by far the best way to do it.

The telescopes are highlighted in blue and make a humming sound, so they are relatively easy to find. When you discover one, destroy it with your harvesting tool and then collect the parts—don’t forget to do this, or it won’t count!
Once you have found, destroyed, and collected parts from each telescope, you will receive 25K XP, plus 55K XP for finishing all 40 of the Season quests set for you so far!
