Cast of playable characters in Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy

The three Heroes of Trine are Pontius the Knight, Amadeus the Wizard, and Zoya the Thief. These characters were bound together by the magical power of the Trine in the very first game, and they have continued to work together ever since.

Pontius the Knight

Pontius is a portly hero who loves to charge into battle, fighting for peace and justice. His heart is as big as his appetite, and he never hesitates to throw himself into battle to protect his friends and innocents. While he is not the sharpest one of the bunch, he is easily the most compassionate.

Pontinus’ play style focuses on melee combat. He can swing his sword to cut down foes, and use his shield in a variety of ways, including blocking attacks for the team, surfing on it to gain speed, or holding it up as a platform.

Amadeus the Wizard

Amadeus is a wizard-in-training who loves daydreaming about being revered as a legend. He is a married man and the father of triplets, though this does not stop his adventuring ways. Despite him being a middling wizard, he is the most knowledgeable of the bunch, especially when dealing with the arcane.

Amadeus’ play style focuses on puzzle solving and utility. He can conjure solid objects out of thin air, which then can be used as platforms or to hold other objects in place. He can also grab objects from afar and levitate them around.

Zoya the Thief

Zoya is an agile trickster who loves seeking out ancient treasures… whether they belong to someone or not. She was originally very aloof to both Pontius and Amadeus due to being sucked into the Trine against her will, but she eventually came around thanks to all the mystical treasure they came across during their adventures.

Zoya’s play style focuses on platforming and ranged combat. She is armed with a bow and elemental arrows that can easily dispatch foes from afar, and when things get dangerous, she can zip to safety with her grappling hook.

Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy is now in development for PC, PS4/5, Xbox One/Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
