Characters are what make or break any game, especially role-playing games, so having a solid cast is extremely important. In this regard, the Atelier series has hardly disappointed, featuring some very colorful characters that had no trouble becoming memorable right from their debut.

The latest entry in the series, Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, also doesn’t disappoint in this regard. Here are all of the playable characters included in the game.

Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, being the direct sequel of the original game and another entry in the Mysterious subseries, sees the return of characters that have already appeared in other games, like the alchemists Sophie and Plachta. The two are joined by four other characters, bringing the total number of characters to 6.

The two returning alchemists are joined by Ramizel, another alchemist, Alette, who uses her amazing speed to the party’s advantage, Olias, a powerful warrior who can deal tons of damage to the enemy, and Diebold, the game’s tank who can lure enemies and take the heat off the other party members.

With Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream allowing players to bring all six characters in combat, three in the assault team and three in the backup team, having such a nice variety of characters only makes combat more engaging!
