Halloween is now very close and zombies, vampires and other fearsome creatures will soon start roaming the cities for a very long night of terror. If you’re trying to get into the Halloween mood with a new video game, you may want to check out a rather mindless yet fun action game that’s been released on the App Store a few hours ago.

True to its name, Zombocalypse is all about zombies. Or rather, kill as many zombies as possible in a variety of locations. To do so, players will have plenty of weapons at their disposal, including short ranged weapons like a machete and a variety of long ranged firearms. Zombies will come in waves and by killing enough players will be able to unlock killstreaks, which are quite useful especially against bosses. Defeat zombies and bosses will allow players to level up, unlocking more weapons that can be bought with coins.

The Zombocalypse’s experience is almost cyclic, as all players will do is kill zombies until defeated, purchase weapons and enter the fray again. Still, the experience seems to be fun enough so not many will complain about the repetitiveness.

Zombocalypse is now available for purchase on the App Store.
