Gemcrafter comes with a fresh approach to the classic match three genre and I personally enjoy playing the game a lot. I also believe that I am not the only person in this situation, so for those who are like me – huge fans of the great Gemcrafter – I’ve decided to create this article and share with you my own Gemcrafter cheats & tips to complete all levels and get all the treasure.
So if you got stuck along the way or you simply want to improve your chances at beating each level, read on for Touch Tap Play’s Gemcrafter tips and cheats!
1. Focus on the level requirement
Since there are no star ratings involved in Gemcrafter, all you really need to do in order to master each level is to complete the requirements: the score doesn’t matter that much (unless it’s one of the requirements, of course) so always focus on what you have to do: removing some gems, ice blocks or whatever. Get that done and you’ve mastered the level!
2. Go for longer matches
The longer the match, the better your score, but you can also get the floating gem if you manage 5 gems in a single move and those tiles can be insanely useful in the long run because they can be taken to otherwise blocked areas. Not very helpful at first, but you will get to love them later on.
3. Better colors, better scores
If you have to reach a specific amount of points in one level, your easiest bet is to plan your moves in such a way that you will get a match of gems of a level as high as possible, as soon as possible. Green ones are the worst in terms of points, but you have to start matching them and slowly go up to the Golden gem which gives you a ton of points. It doesn’t always help – just look at the requirements of the level, and if you need points, that’s the way to get them!
4. Connect with Facebook
If you connect the game with your Facebook account, not only that you can play against your real life friends, but you also get a reward of 5 lives and 75 coins. It’s a good idea to do this when you run completely out of lives and enjoy the rewards!
5. Carefully plan your moves
As you progress through the levels, your board will fill up extremely fast and you need to have some sort of strategy if you want to make it to the next level. Check out the board and plan your moves as far into the level as possible because otherwise you will get stuck thanks to the new gems. In the later levels, if you don’t plan your moves, you’re toast!
6. Use the power-ups carefully
You are given a bunch of power-ups for free when you first unlock them and my advice would be to stick to them for as long as possible: they are extremely helpful, but try to only use them as a last resort when nothing else seems to work. They are also really expensive, so the fewer you use, the better it will be for your wallet.
