After launching in pre-order beta on November 18, the game is now available for all players via Steam. And like previous Warhammer 40k titles, there are lots of different enemies to battle and a lot of them have different properties. Infested enemies, for instance, can damage your corruption levels directly, but what are Maniacs in Warhammer 40k? Let’s answer that!

Warhammer 40K: What Are Maniacs? – Explained

The variety of enemies in Warhammer 40k is both exciting and horrifying. Similar to Infested enemies, Carapace Armored enemies can block most regular hits barring some heavy attacks and firearms while Unyielding foes can block out most types of stagger.

Although the game doesn’t explicitly tell us what Maniacs are, we’ll simply refer to them as types of enemies that usually run towards danger with no regard for their safety and are just insane. This means the likes of the Scab Trapper, Mutant, and both the Dreg and Scab Flamer enemies are considered Maniacs in Warhammer 40k.

Also, the perks that boost damage against Maniac enemies should allow you to deal more damage to the aforementioned Maniac enemies and only them. You cannot use the boost on enemies that aren’t in the Maniac category.

And although its uses are often limited, having more Mutant damage can be enough to go with this leek over others. Mutants are a very annoying set of enemies to fight and they don’t go down easily. It also helps to learn each of the game’s enemy types in Warhammer 40k Darktide as it’ll allow players to prepare for them.

So hopefully we’ve been able to give you an idea to help you understand Maniac enemies in Warhammer 40k Darktide.
