How Does a Galactic Chase Work in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes

The game follows the classic RPG loop of explore -> collect -> spend -> improve -> explore some more, albeit with a Star Wars theme to it. The missions are varied and while some may be a bit more complex than the others, they are all great fun.

Today we will be talking about one of the newer features introduced in recent years was that of Galactic Chase. What is this new feature, you ask?

Galactic Chase

Galactic Chase is a new type of event introduced in February 2019. During a Galactic Chase, players can earn shards or blueprints for either a new character or a new ship (or both) by playing a particular type of node (e.g. Hard, Dark Side, Cantina, Fleet, etc.).

The first Galactic Chase event was released at midnight on February 8, 2019. From the 8th to the 12th of February, the event would give away blueprints for the Emperor’s Shuttle ship as a bonus reward for any type of Fleet Battles. This would only last till the 12th of February however, so players had to be quick.

The Emperor’s Shuttle was so rare to the game that the new ship’s blueprints have a drop rate of 4% per point of Ship Energy per attempt. This meant that players had to at least go for 15-20 attempts in total to even get a 60-80% chance of acquiring the ship. Every attempt counted as an independent event as well.

As of today, there have been several Galactic Chase events with a myriad of rewards. We will keep you posted if any changes occur!
