Platform / Shooter Game Downwell Now Available On The App Store

This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Last year we have reported that a really interesting platform / shooter game called Downwell was in development for iOS devices by Japanese solo developer Ojiro Fujimoto. We haven’t heard much about the game in quite some time but today we can confirmed that Downwell is now available for purchase on the App Store in all regions.

In Downwell, players control their character as he goes down a well, destroying obstacles and enemies in the process. What makes the game unique, other than its level progression, is the weapons used by the character, which are some sort of gun-shoes that also allow the character to hover while shooting. Many different weapons are included in the game, adding some good variety to this simple yet interesting gameplay formula. Making the game more charming is its graphical style, which is clearly inspired by old school games.

Downwell is now available for purchase in all regions on the App Store for $2.99. The game is definitely one of the more unique titles released this year so make sure to take a look at it if you’re looking for something new to play on the go.
