Mr. Square Cheats: Tips & Strategy Guide

Help Mr. Square paint the town red! Mr. Square is a simple but challenging puzzle game where you need to cover all the tiles with Mr. Square’s color. It sounds easy, but when you slide Mr. Square, he won’t stop moving until he hits a wall, so you need to think about your moves carefully! We’re here with some general tips in our Mr. Square cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

1. Take your time!

There is no undo button in Mr. Square, which means that all of your actions are final! There is only a restart button, so take your time and plan out your moves. There is no time limit so don’t feel like you need to rush. Try to also remember the moves you made; it’ll make recreating the right path much easier!

2. Save your coins!

You’re awarded coins for every level you beat. You’re going to want to hang onto these, as you’ll need them to unlock further chapters. You can spend them to unlock additional character skins but since those are cosmetic only and don’t offer any game play changes, save those for later!

4. Come back to it later!

There is no stamina system in this game, so you can retry the levels as many times as you wish. With that said, the later levels can get really confusing, and they will begin to introduce new mechanics. If you’re stuck on a certain level, take a break and come back to it later. You won’t have to wait for any energy to refill, so take your time with the whole game!

5. Pay attention to the chapter gimmick!

After chapter one, the remaining chapters will each have a unique gimmick to their levels. For example, in chapter two, you will be controlling two Mr. Squares at a time. In those levels you really need to plan your moves out carefully, as it’s very easy to get yourself stuck! In the later chapters you’re going to be dealing with portals, boost pads, and more. Be sure that you analyze the space around the gimmick tile – it’s almost certain you’re going to need it to pass the level!
