Cross-play is a feature that allows you to play with other players who use a different platform to play, such as Xbox and PS4. While Windjammers 2 supports cross-play, this is unfortunately not available on all platforms. It would be more correct to say that this feature is not available only for Nintendo Switch users. To activate this feature, you just need to take a few steps. Open the Settings menu and go to the Online Settings tab. Then you need to find the Enable Crossplay item and set the value to Yes.
At the moment, in Windjammers 2, full cross-play is only available between PC platforms and all versions of Xbox. As for PlayStation users, they can only play between the PS4 and PS5 versions. And as mentioned above, Switch does not support cross-play at all. However, it cannot be argued that in the future the developers will not expand the list of platforms for cross-play, as other games have done.
