Earlier this year a new Sonic The Hedgehog mobile game has been made available in Japan. The game, called Sonic Runner, isn’t the first mobile game starring the blue hedgehog but it’s made remarkable by the fact that it’s the first mobile game developed by Sonic Team, the team behind the main entries of the series. After a few months wait, players all over the world will finally be able to play the game soon, as Sonic Runner will launch globally later this week.
Sonic Runner is a rather fast auto runner where players have to take control of Sonic or one of his friends such as Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, jump on platforms, avoid dangers, collect items and fight bad guys as the evil Dr. Eggman and others. The game doesn’t seem to be much different from the several endless runner games available on the App Store but the presence of Sonic and his friends will surely make it quite popular.
Sonic Runner will be released later this week, on June 25th, on the App Store in all regions. The game seems like a competent endless runner game so make sure to check it out if you like the genre and you’re a fan of Sonic The Hedgehog.
