Leveling up isn’t the only way to power up your heroes in Idle Heroes. You can make them stronger using equipment, artifacts, or special stones. There are hundreds of items in the game, and you need to find (or create) them, just like your heroes. This guide will help you better understand what the equipment is, how to get it and how to use it.
Equipment in Idle Heroes Guide
Equipment is the most common type of item that you can use from the beginning of the game. There are only 4 types of equipment in Idle Heroes: weapons, armor, shoes, and accessories. From the 1st level, you can get these items and give them to your heroes. It is impossible to write a list of all the equipment in the game, as there are hundreds of variations available, and each major update adds new ones. But we can tell you how to use and obtain them.
Your heroes only have 6 item slots. You can use 4 of them for armor, weapons, shoes, and accessories. Only treasures and artifacts can be placed in the remaining 2 slots. Each piece of equipment gives the hero additional characteristics.

In general, we can say that weapons and accessories increase the hero’s attack, and armor and shoes provide additional health points. High-level equipment can increase more than one stat at a time.
If you manage to get the full set of equipment, you will also receive additional bonuses. A set of equipment means that the hero has items of the same level in at least 3 equipment slots.
How to Get and Use Equipment in Idle Heroes
To get the equipment, you can do the following:
- Complete missions and events in the game (campaign, tavern, etc.) and receive equipment as a reward
- Make them yourself at the blacksmith.
Campaign missions will be your main source of gear. Therefore, try to complete all the quests of the campaign.
