10 Most Anticipated Mobile Games Coming in 2022

The mobile gaming platform continues to expand in terms of game genres and compatibility in the last few years with console and PC games making their way to the handheld platform.

After the success of previously released highly acclaimed titles such as, Genshin Impact, Cookie Run: Kingdom and Among Us, the mobile platform is ready for yet another exciting year as 2022 has a ton of exciting games coming our way.

So in this article we’ll be listing the 10 most anticipated mobile games coming in 2022.

1 – Just Cause®Mobile

After many rumors and speculations, of its arrival to mobile, Square Enix finally announced that it will be bringing its flagship franchise to mobile devices in 2022 titled Just Cause: Mobile. The game will be an explosive action-shooter that takes place in the famous Just Cause universe, exclusively designed and optimized for mobile devices.

Just Cause: Mobile will feature a story campaign, 30-person competitive multiplayer, 4 player Co-Op missions, and more. It’s powered by Unreal Engine 4 with HD graphics, highly responsive touch controls, a unique movement system consisting of [grapple, wingsuit, parachute, and most of the crazy stuff we know from Just Cause 1-4], voice chat, and intense gameplay.

2 – DC Heroes & Villains

This game takes a light-hearted approach that adapts to match up to three gameplay mechanics together, making it both incredibly exciting and challenging to pass each stage. There’s also similar features such as puzzles, survival modes and others.

DC Heroes & Villains offers Gacha mechanics such as hero upgrading and using compelling moves with synergy. The game is scheduled to launch on mobile in 2022.

3 – Battlefield: Mobile

The intense rivalry between the Call of Duty franchise and Battlefield is set to continue on mobile platforms, as EA has announced that a mobile version of Battlefield is currently in the works from Industrial Studios, one of its mobile studios.

According to DICE general manager Oskar Gabrielson, the upcoming Battlefield mobile game will be a standalone title. “Make no mistake, this is a standalone game, a completely different game from the one we’re making for console and PC, designed specifically for the mobile platform.” The game is currently in testing stages and will release in 2022.

4 – Undawn

Undawn is a thrilling and exciting upcoming cooperative open-world zombie survival game that’s set to make to make its way to mobile in 2022. It offers a mixture of PvE and PvP gameplay where players must face hordes of zombies while also trying to survive attacks from other players.

Players can also team up with friends or other random players, create shelters to rest and hide from zombies while trading resources with friends and ensuring you have enough supplies to keep you alive. There’s no release date for Undawn yet, but we expect it to launch sometime in 2022.

5 – Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal was initially announced way back in 2018 and, has since been postponed several times. However, the game is likely to make its way to mobile in 2022 as a lot of mobile gamers have come around to the idea of getting their hands on Diablo Immortal.

Similar to the PC and console versions, Diablo Immortal will see players choose from various classes before diving into battle against foes and gather as many loots as they can. The classes that are currently confirmed are Monk, Necromancer, Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Wizard.

6 – Valorant: Mobile

After launching on PC, Valorant became quite the success, and now gamers all around the globe have requested that the acclaimed FPS game be ported to mobile. It didn’t take long for Riot Games to respond to their demands with an announcement that Valorant: Mobile will indeed come to mobile and is currently in development.

Riot Games are yet to reveal an official release date for Valorant: Mobile, but the development team expects the mobile port to be a lengthy process. This means we may not see a global launch until late 2022.

7 – Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat

After years of anticipation, the popular white-haired demon slayer has finally arrived on mobile devices as a stunning hack and slash role-playing game. In collaboration with Yun Chang Game Development, CAPCOM’s Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat will reimagine the hack and slash genre on mobile devices, offering Unity Engine graphics with the aim of replicating the traditional console experience on mobile.

The game offers similar graphics to its console and PC counterparts, where players can take control of Dante in either single-player and multiplayer. Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat is currently available to play in select regions and is set to launch globally sometime in 2022.

8 – Star Wars: Hunters

Another interesting game that’s coming to both mobile devices and Nintendo Switch is Star Wars: Hunters, an upcoming team-based competitive combat arena from developers Zynga.

Set after the fall of the Galactic Empire, Hunters features a diverse range of new characters, including bounty hunters, stormtroopers, droidekas, and lightsaber-wielding warriors

9 – eFootball 2022

eFootball 2022 is set to release in March 2022 and more time has reportedly been needed to deliver a product worthy of expectations. Also, the announcement of which players in the previous entry eFootball PES 2021 who will not feature in eFootball is being withheld for now.

There will be nine clubs to choose from and exhibition matches with the initial launch. Various modes will be available in the future as DLC as well. Formerly known as Pro Evolution Soccer, eFootball has seen the franchise move to free-to-play, digital only and will support controllers for the first time.

10 – Apex Legends: Mobile

Apex Legends is easily one of the most anticipated console games that’s coming to the mobile platform this year. It doesn’t take a genius to recognize that EA is porting their highly acclaimed battle royal shooter to mobile in order to compete with the likes of Call of Duty: Mobile and PUBG.

EA also stated that it’ll be rolling out closed beta tests for Apex Legends: Mobile in 2021 for India and the Philippines, which will only be available for Android devices. There are no iOS beta tests at the moment, as the game is likely to launch at once on iOS. Apex Legends is currently available for registration in select regions and is set to launch globally in 2022.
