The company has revealed a new deal with Illumination Entertainment to produce games featuring Minions, the funny creatures starring in the Despicable Me movies. The first one of these games to get announced is Minions Paradise.

Minions Paradise is going to be a town building game where players have to design and build a tropical resort for Minions. The game will feature a brand new character who never appeared in the movies, the Minion Phil. Not much more is known about the game but it probably won’t be all that different from similar games currently available on the App Store.

Minions Paradise and the other upcoming EA Mobile games are going to be just the latest games based on the franchise. Several others have been released on the App Store in the past, with some of them actually being solid titles, like the endless runner game Despicable Me: Minion Rush.

Minions Paradise will be released this Summer on the App Store. More details on the game will surely be coming in soon so stay tuned for all the latest news on Minions Paradise and the other Despicable Me games coming in the near future.
