The team has recently confirmed the news when announcing that the game has sold over a million copies on PC since 2012. The team confirmed that the game will finally be released in its finished version this year and that it will also be released on iPad later this year. Not much is currently known on the iPad version of Prison Architect, other than the fact that the team will try to keep as close as possible to the PC version, with some features getting tweaked so that they can work smoothly on tablets.

Prison Architect is a top down 2D construction and management simulation where players take control of building and running a prison. Players will have to oversee pretty much everything about this prison, including hiring staff, building cells and facilities and more. The game is a unique take on the management simulation genre and it has been inspired by some of the best games of the genre such as Theme Hospital, Dungeon Keeper and more.

Prison Architect will be released on iPad on a yet to be confirmed 2015 release date. We will keep you updated on the game’s release date as soon as possible so stay tuned for all the latest news.
