Desktop Dungeons Cheats: Tips And Tricks (iOS)

Just like several other roguelike games, Desktop Dungeons can be somewhat intimidating to players who don’t have much experience with similar games. For this reason, we have put together this Desktop Dungeons Chearts: Tips and Tricks which includes some basics tips that will help you understand the game and have more fun with it.

  • Races

Desktop Dungeons includes several races which all come with unique stats and abilities. Some races are good for some builds but at the same time bad for others so you will have to choose carefully.

Among the original races, the Human and Dwarf race are the best to create melee characters, Elf for glyph based characters, Halfling and Gnome are good for classes that benefit from health and mana potions, Orcs are surprisingly the best race to choose if you have trouble gathering experience points while Goblin if you’re looking for a challenge, as it’s not all that good at anything.

  • Leveling Up

In a roguelike game, leveling up is incredibly important if you want to be able to defeat bosses without much trouble. There are a few things you can do to earn some extra experience, such as defeating monsters who have a higher level than you. If you encounter multiple enemies having different levels, you may want to defeat the ones with the lower level first, as killing the one with the higher may make you level up and earn less experience for the lower level kills. As resources are limited, you want to maximize EXP gain as much as possible. Leveling up also restores your health and mana completely so you can try to level up right before the dungeon’s boss.

  • Spell Glyphs

Glyphs, which are the Desktop Dungeons spells, can be incredibly useful for a lot of reasons. Some classes start with a specific glyph in their inventory but all classes can use them if they find glyphs in dungeons. Using spells on enemies will not make react as meleee attacks do, making them extremely safe to use. Just make sure to have enough mana potions if you’re thinking about using them a lot. Also, unlike HP, mana doesn’t increase when leveling up but finding the three mana power-ups in each dungeon will increase it slightly.
