Brickies is a new twist on the classic breakout formula! Bounce and break your way to victory taking advantage of a number of crazy awesome power ups. There are over 100 levels to complete, so let’s get started with our Brickies cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!
1. Go for time!
You are rewarded some points at the end of each level depending on how fast you completed it. In most cases, getting a big time bonus is required in order to hit the 3 star mark for the level, so try to go as fast as you can!
2. Don’t miss a beat!
Your score multiplier starts out at 1.0. Every time the ball hits a brickie, the multiplier increases by 0.1, and you can have a maximum multiplier of 2.0. As long as you keep it bouncing, your score multiplier will remain at 2.0 and you’ll rack in the points. However, if you miss just even one bounce, the ball will turn red and your multiplier will reset back to 1.0. Also, be warned that when the ball is red it can’t break brickies even on full collision, and it can’t collect any power ups!
3. Grab power ups as often as possible!
As you progress through the game, you will unlock new power ups for you try. They’ll randomly spawn during game play, and when you see one, try to grab it as soon as possible. The explosive and multi-ball power ups are great for clearing a lot of brickies. Keep in mind that the extra balls multi-ball creates do not need to be bounced by you; just focus on the main ball and the extra balls will bounce around on their own. You can even have multiple power ups active at once, so grab them all!
4. Angle the paddle!
Knowing how to control your ball’s trajectory is key to winning the levels in a fast and precise manner. If you want the ball to go straight, try to hit the ball with the middle of the paddle. If you want to angle the ball left or right, hit the ball with the respective side of the paddle. It’s a bit tricky but once you get down paddle control you’ll be able to direct the ball exactly where you want it. Alternatively, you can also use the finger power up, which lets you direct the ball wherever you want!
5. Restart levels!
Some specific levels are much easier to complete if you manage to get certain power ups. For example, levels that have tightly packed multi-hit brickies can be powered through if the game spawns a sawblade power up, which gives your ball a piercing property. If you don’t get 3 stars on the level or if you think you’re going to fail it, try restarting and hope for a better power up distribution!
