Who to Choose as the First Leader in Warcraft Rumble | Best Leaders & Tier List

If you’ve had the same question as me and wanted to know who to choose as the first Leader in Warcraft Rumble, look no further. I’m going to explain everything to have the best start possible.

First things first – the moment you finish the tutorial, you will be prompted to pick one of three Leaders, at random. That’s right, the first three Leaders appear at random, and they cannot be changed. You can possibly uninstall and re-install the game in order to reroll them, but you’ll still have to play through the tutorial.

Secondly, if you want to start playing right away, just pick one of the Leaders from our list below because it won’t matter too much. You will have the possibility to get a new Leader soon enough. So, make the most out of what you have, and try to advance.

Here is the complete tier list of the leaders in Warcraft Rumble. Underneath the tier list, you can find a more detailed list of each Leader and what their skill does. Keep in mind that you can make every Leader work, so don’t stress too much over the S-tier ones.

Who to Choose as the First Leader in Warcraft Rumble

The first Leader you choose can be either Rend Blackhand for the reduced cost of Flying troops, or Tirion Fordring for the additional healing and tanking ability. Baron Rivendare is amazing if you can manage to sustain the damage and keep him alive.

In short, either Leader you pick can be amazing at the start. Soon after you will be able to unlock more Leaders, so don’t fret.

Rend Blackhand

• Type: AoE, Flying
• Faction: Blackrock
• Skill: Blacken the Skies – Your other Flying troops cost 1 less Gold while Rend is in play (but no less than 2).

Baron Rivendare

• Type: Single Target, Melee
• Faction: Undead
• Skill: Army of the Dead – Rivendare periodically summons Skeletons at buildings you control.

Tirion Fordring

• Type: Single Target, Melee
• Faction: Alliance
• Skill: Holy Light – Heals all nearby friendly units.

Grommash Hellscream

• Type: Single Target, Melee
• Faction: Horde
• Skill: For The Horde! – All nearby friendly units gain Bloodlust.

Hogger

• Type: AoE, Melee
• Faction: Beast
• Skill: Relentless – Hogger’s movement and attack speed increase 35% each time he is played. “More bones to gnaw on…”

Sneed

• Type: AoE, Melee
• Faction: Horde
• Skill: Sneed Before Greed – Gain 2 Gold anytime a Siege Damage unit destroys a Tower, opens a Chest, or captures a meeting stone.

Sylvanas Windrunner

• Type: Single Target, Ranged
• Faction: Undead
• Skill: Windrunner Warchief – All Undead and Horde Minis gain 30% movement speed near Sylvanas.

Cairne Bloodhoof

• Type: AoE, Melee
• Faction: Horde
• Skill: Earthen Might – Your Horde troops have 20% increased Health.

General Drakkisath

• Type: Single Target, Melee
• Faction: Blackrock
• Skill: Banner of Flame – Nearby enemies take 50% more Elemental damage. Eats Ragnar’Os for breakfast.

Maiev Shadowsong

• Type: AoE, Melee
• Faction: Alliance
• Skill: Master Assassin – Maiev’s cost is reduced by 1 for each Unbound troop you play.

Old Murk-Eye

• Type: AoE, Ranged
• Faction: Beast
• Skill: March of the Murlocs – For 5 seconds after deploying, summon a Murloc Tidehunter for each Gold spent on other minis.

Bloodmage Thalnos

• Type: AoE, Ranged
• Faction: Undead
• Skill: Dark Ritual – Thalnos gains 1 Level for each Spell you play, until death.

Charlga Razorflank

• Type: Single Target, Ranged
• Faction: Beast
• Skill: Spirit Tangle – Minis in your hand share the same cost.

Jaina Proudmoore

• Type: Single Target, Ranged
• Faction: Alliance
• Skill: Arcane Brilliance – Increases the Level of your Spells by 3 while Jaina is in play.
