Who is Adaman in Pokemon Legends Arceus? – Lore and Backstory

In an all new trailer released by The Pokemon Company and Nintendo on December 15, there has been new footage of gameplay and story elements seen throughout.

There were 2 new major characters revealed through the trailer that stood out like sore thumbs. One of these characters is Adaman, a never-before-seen face in the Pokemon series.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus – Adaman Lore and Backstory

From prior information through trailers, we have learned that the Hisui Region is going to be home to the Galaxy Expedition Team, one of the earliest versions of what we now know as the evil Team Galactic. Apart from this, we know now that the Hisui Region is also where the two clans — The Diamond Clan, and the Pearl Clan — originate.

The Pearl Clan’s leader is a tiny blonde female clad in a traditional, yet flamboyant pink outfit named Irida, while Adaman is the Diamond Clan’s Leader, showing off his striking navy blue hair and traditional outfit to match.

Adaman has a Leafeon as his signature Pokemon and faithful partner. He is a headstrong young leader who much rather prefers action over words. He hates seeing time going to waste and makes sure everything he oversees works in a smooth and efficient manner.

The clan that Adaman leads, the Diamond Clan, are imbued with the values of cherishing the present and living in the moment with one’s friends and allies.

While Adaman may frequently butt heads and disagree with the Pearl Clan and its leader, Irida, he cannot help but acknowledge the similarities and common goals that they strive for, which help keep up the friendly rapport between the clans.

The attire Adaman wears is no doubt of heavy symbolic reference to Dialga. The colour scheme and his hair are dead giveaways. The cherry on top is the neck piece he wears, which has an actual diamond fitted into it.

Fans speculate that this could be the accessory needed to turn Dialga into its alternate form; perhaps a Primal Form just like the ones Kyogre and Groudon received in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.
