All you need to know!

Ah! Love. What a beautiful thing it can be. Well, it’s not only for humans: Pokemon can fall in love too, and the Destiny Knot proves just that!

Then again, it has even better uses than just making 2 Pokemon fall in love. If you’re wondering where to find the Destiny Knot in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, then read on ahead, you heartthrob!

What is the Destiny Knot?

The Destiny Knot is an item that has a few different functions. The first one applies during battles. If your Pokemon is holding the Destiny Knot when a Pokemon of the opposite gender makes you fall in love with it, it forces that Pokemon to fall in love with you too, immobilizing both of the Pokemon from attacking each other!

Safe to say, it’s not the most useful item in battle. The same can’t be said for its other purpose, which is breeding. If a Pokemon holds the Destiny Knot during breeding, its offspring will inherit five of its 12 IVs! This is a common method used to create a Pokemon with the perfect IVs that a trainer would want.
