Nidoqueen frequently appear in three-star raids in Pokemon GO, and so, it is imperative that you know its counters. If you want to know how to effectively deal with Nidoqueen in Pokemon GO, then this is the guide for you.

What is Nidoqueen’s Weakness in Pokemon GO?

Since Nidoqueen has quite the weak defensive typing of Poison / Ground, there are quite the few weaknesses it possesses which you can exploit — four of them, in fact. Nidoqueen takes super-effective damage from Water, Ice, Ground, and Psychic type moves.

While it is true that Nidoqueen is vulnerable to a plethora of attacks, make sure not to use hits against it that it resists. These are Fairy, Fighting, Bug, and Rock type moves. Additionally, it 4x resists Poison moves and is immune to Electric hits.

With this in mind, there are some top candidates in terms of Mega Pokemon that you can use which will easily take care of Nidoqueen:

  • Mega Blastoise – Water Gun/Hydro Cannon
  • Mega Gyarados – Waterfall/Hydro Pump
  • Mega Slowbro – Confusion/Psychic
  • Mega Abomasnow – Powder Snow/Weather Ball
  • Mega Gengar – Shadow Claw/Psychic

Keep in mind that Mega Pokemon boost the power of other Pokemon in battle that share the same type as them, which should help the teambuilding process when facing a Nidoqueen Raid.
