As we mentioned, you now earn materials that can be used for TM crafting after defeating wild Pokémon. Once you’ve gathered your materials, you’ll need to head over to any Pokémon Center and talk to the TM Machine.

You won’t know any TM recipes at first, but you can find them scattered throughout the Paldea region. If you ever come across a shining yellow Poké Ball in the wild, make sure to pick it up, as that’s a TM.

Once you’re far into your adventure, eventually you’ll know a ton of TM recipes. With each recipe requiring its own set of materials, it can be a little confusing at times keeping track of what you need. Thankfully, there’s a “Watch List” feature that lets you keep track of materials easily.

When you’re at the TM Machine, highlight any TM that you’re currently working towards and press the + button. You should now see a red little bell icon on the TM’s icon, which means that you’re now watching it.

When you’re watching a TM, the game will notify you when you’ve collected enough materials to craft it. After a wild Pokémon battle that gives you the last required material, you’ll see a notification pop up in the top right corner telling you that you’ve got everything to make the TM.

So, before you head out to look for materials for a TM you’re working on, make sure to add it to your Watch List so that you know when you have enough materials. It’s helpful and can save you some time!
