Sonic Colors: Ultimate comes with many of the features we have already seen in other modern Sonic the Hedgehog games, including optional collectibles that allow players to unlock additional content once found.
In Sonic Colors: Ultimate, these optional collectibles are the Red Star Rings. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
What Are Red Star Rings in Sonic Colors: Ultimate?
The Red Star Rings are special rings that can be found in all of the Sonic Colors: Ultimate stages. Collecting these rings is not required to complete the game, but there is a very good reason why you should still find them.
Finding all the Red Star Rings in a zone will allow you to unlock a special stage that will reward you with a Chaos Emerald upon completion. Find all the seven Chaos Emeralds, and you will be able to turn into Super Sonic in most of the game’s stages.
Don’t think this is going to be quick and easy, however. Sonic Colors: Ultimate features 180 Red Star Rings, so it will definitely take some time for you to find them all. Thankfully, you only need to collect any specific Red Star Ring once, so you can replay stages multiple times to find them all without having to collect them in a single run.
