Warhammer 40K: Darktide – Is There Crafting? Answered

Although it's currently in Pre-order beta, there's a lot to do in Warhammer 40k: Darktide. But is there crafting in the game?

Fatshark is best know for its exciting Vermintide game series and especially Vermintide 2 which went on to become a successful co-op game and probably the developers’ most popular game.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide is one of Fatshark’s newer titles that takes players back to the acclaimed Warhammer universe that’ll test their strengths and challenge them with powerful enemies. There’s a lot to do in Darktide but is there crafting? Allow us to answer that in a brief guide.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide – Is There Crafting? Answered

Like in many other similar titles, being able to craft stuff, especially weapons using materials, is a beloved feature. So if you’re wondering if Warhammer 40K: Darktide allows players to craft stuff, no it does not.

For now, players can only execute build-crafting in the game and currently have no way of crafting any sort of items in Warhammer 40K: Darktide. So there are only a few select ways of getting items and weapons in the game with the first being the shop.

Items in the shop also rotate every hour and although they offer players the best gears they can get for their level, some of these items can be quite pricey.

Another method is via Sire Melk’s Requisitorium which offers weapons and cool items that players with enough cash can purchase. And you can earn his by completing challenges once you’ve hit level 11 and can be spent whenever you like.

And lastly, players can use the Emperor’s Gifts at the end of certain matches even though it’s not very consistent and mostly just rewards random throwaway items.

So while it’s quite disappointing that crafting isn’t available in Warhammer 40K: Darktide, players can still improve their weapons and other equipment nicely as we saw in the recent trailer, so that’s quite a feature to look forward to when the game launches fully.
