Move manually to collect faster!

Your survivor will move on his own when you are not directly controlling him. He will continue to automatically collect resources until he runs out of energy. He moves at a brisk pace by himself, but manually moving him with the virtual joystick makes him sprint much faster. If you want to collect materials at a faster rate, you should control your survivor manually.

Upgrade your gear!

The fundamentals of SURV is all about your survivor’s gear. Here’s a quick rundown of what your gear does.

• Your Storage is exactly what it sounds like – it is your capacity to hold stuff. The better your storage is, the more materials you can hold at once. Though you should not really have to worry about this too much since you will sell a lot.
• Weapons increase your damage in battle and it also increases the amount of materials you get when you harvest a node. Upgrading your weapons should be your main priority.
• Your Shoes determine how fast your survivor moves, both automatically and manually. This will increase your material gain in the long run.
• Your Clothing determines how much stamina your survivor has. Upgrading this also grants a boost to health during battles. Stamina determines how long your survivor can run for before he needs to take a nap.

You will need the required amount of materials and coins to upgrade a piece of gear, but do so as much as you can. There is one final stat, and that is your overall level. Spending coins allows you to level up, which will let you equip better gear and slightly raise your attack power and health, but most importantly allow you to discover new materials.

Research new materials first!

As you level up, your survivor will start to encounter unknown materials. To jog his memory about what the material is, you will need to spend a hefty amount of coins. This should be your first priority because having access to new materials means you can sell them for way higher than your previous materials!

Fight monsters for goodies!

Every so often you will run into a monster that has a red number over their head. If you run into them manually – your survivor will skip them over if he is on automatic – you can initiate a fight.

Fights are completely luck based rock-paper-scissors affairs, so there is no harm in trying. If you win, you get a nail which can be used to open a Battle Chest once you obtain enough of them. They also increase your luck slightly in fights. If you lose, your simply lose all of your stamina, which is not a problem since you can just call a bear and wake up your survivor right away.

Pick up the power ups and chests!

Sometimes you will come across a glowing badge on your travels. These are temporary power ups, and they can do things like double your resource income or increase your movement speed. They are all helpful in all sorts of ways, so make sure you do not miss them!

You can also find chests lying around. To open them you will need to watch a short advertisement, but if you have the time we recommend doing so. You can get nice heaps of coins in them!
