Protostar’s beautiful endless space runner Super Starfish just received its 1.4 update, which adds a bunch of cool new stuff! For you returning starfish, there’s more to see and do in the endless space ocean, so get ready to dive!

First and foremost, this update adds a whole new ancestor group to the game: octopi! This means that you can finally add the eight-armed suction-cupped sea buddies to your space sanctuary. If you’re already swimming through the endless expanses of space, take a gander at your prizecano – you might see one of the new octopi as one of the potential prizes!

Secondly, this update also introduces new power ups in addition to the Star Doubler. The new Shield power up is self-explanatory – your starfish is enveloped within a white bubble and will be protected for a single hit. The Star Frenzy power up dramatically increases the rate at which stars spawn, helping you build up cosmic combos easily.

Your Sanctuary has also been given a cosmetic overhaul! The look has changed for a more natural feel, with grass and other small flora growing around. The background music has been changed as well, giving your Sanctuary an even more chill vibe.

Last, but definitely not least, Super Starfish now supports cloud saves. Your progress can be saved onto the cloud so in case you decide to reinstall the game, you can pick up from where you left off.

Super Starfish is available on the App Store and Google Play Store.
