There’s a reason this game isn’t called ‘Space Nurses’ or ‘Star Community Support Officers’. Pirates, smugglers, and thieves are just more fun.
That principle certainly holds for Star Pirates Infinity. Like the awesome Hearthstone, this is a collectible card game (CCG) in which you have to choose your faction from the available four, assemble the strongest deck of cards you can, and do battle with other players.
However, unlike Hearthstone it’s set in the deadly echoing badlands of space, and it replaces stuffy old fantasy characters like druids and priests with swashbuckling rogues with a penchant for intergalactic crime.
Star Pirates Infinity features a richly varied selection of attacking and defensive cards to collect, and two types of resource to manage. Battles involve choosing your cards wisely and also knowing when to deploy resources. Some of the most powerful cards draw on both resources in play, so crafty management is essential.
You’d be forgiven for assuming that a game about space pirates and brutal PVP battles would be a bitter cutthroat experience, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Star Pirates Infinity is not only super-accessible for beginners but it’s super-friendly too. Developer SHG Studios boasts nearly a decade of community-building experience, and the team has carefully fostered a friendly and supportive environment with an active chat and zero jerks.
In fact, the people at SHG Studios are right there with you, actively joining in with the community and helping players find their feet.
As an additional treat, the developer is giving away an exclusive booster pack. Enter the code SPIBOOSTER for in-game booty.
You can grab Star Pirates Infinity for free on Google Play and the App Store. PC and Mac versions are available here.
