How bidding for decisions works in Silent Hill: Ascension

When the time comes to decide your strategy in Silent Hill: Ascension, you will have the opportunity to bid on three choices: Redemption, Suffering, and Damnation. The bidding is done using Influence Points (IP), with each player determining how much they want to invest.

The minimum you can invest to make any kind of impact on the decision is 200 IP. However, this amount won’t do much in terms of the final result. To understand how much IP you should bid with, let’s look at the result of a recent decision.

For the decision “What will Astrid do with evidence of Karl’s guilt?” the Redemption option received a total of 24M IP; Suffering received 8.8M, while Damnation got nearly 13M Influence Points. Top contributors invested 21K-28K, 9.4K-11.4K, and 20K-57K for the first, second, and third choices, respectively.

What does this show us?

For the winning option (Redemption), the top contributor participated with somewhere around 0.1% of the total IP amount. On the other hand, the player who invested the most in Damnation gave about 0.35%, but their bid was double that of the Redemption top contributor.

To keep things simple, how much you invest doesn’t guarantee your choice will be successful. The bid will be decided by the number of players who turn toward the same option. And since Silent Hill: Ascension has over 100,000 downloads on the Play Store alone, you can expect a large number of people to participate in each decision.

With all of the above in mind, we can safely say that bidding with at least 1K Influence Points would be a good starting point. This is, of course, if you’re actually vying for your choice to win. But if you’re only contributing to complete your Daily Goals, you don’t need to worry too much about the amount—the minimal 200 IP will suffice.

That’s all you need to know about how much IP to bid on decisions in Silent Hill: Ascension. Of course, the game is still in its early days, so much could change as it grows and develops. To make sure you’re always up-to-date, watch out for the latest in our News section.
