Runway Story Cheats: Tips & Guide to Collect All Fashions

In our article today we are going to reveal to you everything you need to know in order to become a real designer, as well as our Runway Story tips and cheats to help you create the best clothes!

This game is a typical match 3 game, but it has a new type of reward: it lets you unleash your creativity and become a fashion designer. You will be able to dress your characters with the clothes that you earn and buy, and make for some unique combinations.

Learn the special tiles

There are several types of special tiles that you will obtain by matching 3 or more of the same type of tiles in a row. These will help you meet the level’s requirements much easier and that way you can complete it with much less moves used. (You’ll see why that is important below)

These are the special tiles:

– Firecracker: The Firecracker will clear a line or column and you can obtain it by matching 4 tiles in a row.

– Bomb: The Bomb will explode in a big radius around it, destroying every tile. You obtain it by matching tiles in a “T” or “L” formation. 

– Butterfly: You create it by matching 4 or more tiles in a square formation. When destroyed, they take off towards a tile that you need upon achieving your level goal.

– Rubik’s Cube: You make the Rubik’s Cube by matching 5 of the same tiles. When you drag it towards another tile, it will remove all tiles of that color currently on the screen.

I would suggest that you match 2 of the special tiles together, because they will have an increased effect. They don’t have to be 2 of the same special tiles, they can even be 2 different ones.

For example, if you combine the Rubik’s Cube with a Bomb, they will place bombs in several places on the screen which will then detonate and clear the level in a matter of seconds.

If you match 2 Bombs together, the explosion they make will increase in radius. Also, the best one so far – if you match 2 Rubik’s Cubes together, they will destroy everything on the screen in one big blast! This is not that easy to get, but if you see the opportunity, seize it! It might help you clear the level in just a couple of moves.

Double tap the special tiles

If you find yourself in a difficult situation, and don’t really want to destroy a possible ulterior combo, you might want to try double tapping on the special tiles to activate them. You don’t want to always drag it left or right to be matched with a normal tile, and that’s perfectly normal. 

Don’t forget that if you ever find yourself in a difficult situation, this is always a possibility!

Complete the in game days

The in game days are tracked in the progress bar on the bottom left side of the screen. There you will see the “To Do List”, and a yellow progress bar. This fills up whenever you complete another task, up to  100%. 

Once it reaches 100% it counts as an in game day, and you will receive some cool rewards such as Event Tickets and fashions. These are very useful if you want to purchase and customize the characters to your own liking, so make sure you complete as many tasks as you can!

Change your looks!

In the bottom left corner of the screen, right next to the To Do List, you will have your wardrobe. Here you can change your costumes and style and create something unique, true to yourself. 

You can customize several stuff, from skin and hair color to clothes. Do you want to have a unique look? Then purchase new fashions with the coins you make in game from completing levels. This is easy and can be done in a matter of minutes!

Also, once you are in the wardrobe interface, you can swap between all the characters that you meet and dress them up however you like! Do this by selecting the one you like from the bottom left corner.

Connect to Facebook for more coins

If you have a Facebook account you can choose to connect it to your game and earn a whooping 1000 coins! This is the fastest method to gain so many coins, so I suggest that you do it.

Are you stuck on a tough level? 

If you find yourself stuck in a certain level, then don’t frat over it. It might happen often, that the tiles you get are just too difficult to match and complete the requirements. When this happens, it means that the level (more or less) needs you to use some boosts. 

Don’t be afraid of wasting a boost (or even all of them – but preferably not) when you’re dealing with a difficult stage. The boosts can be gained back over time and when you complete the in game days!

Complete level 9 for free

Right at the beginning of the game, while the tutorial is still “on-going” to say so, you will be introduced to those boosts that I’ve mentioned above. When you reach level 9, you will have the Eraser on the right side of the screen.

Use this to clear all the tiles necessary to complete the stage with a minimum of effort. The Erasers on this stage are infinite, so you don’t even have to move the tiles once to complete it.

Do this to save moves and earn even more coins by finishing the level with the most moves possible.

Log in every day for new and cool rewards

Like in many other games, here as well you can get some cool rewards for simply logging in to the game, You will obtain fashions and boosts, as well as other goodies, depending on the day of the week. 

If you are like me and want to collect all the possible fashions, then make sure you simply log in every day even if you don’t want to play that particular day. It’s good to just hoard those boosts and have them ready for when you are ready to play.

Put together a nice fashion? Snap a picture of it!

When you are in the dresser interface, you can also save the fashions you are most proud of and share them with your friends, or simply keep them in your device. To do this, you can head on to the Camera button and let your characters pose for you while you snap a few pictures!
