The League of Legends universe was always ripe for more stories to be told, and now all fans of the extremely popular MOBA can delve deeper into the franchise’s world with Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, a single-player role-playing game developed by Airship Syndicate, and the first game released as part of the Riot Forge initiative.
Role-playing games are, by definition, very long games, but how long does it exactly take to explore the bustling city of Bilgewater and solve the mystery of the Shadow Isles? Let’s find out.
How Long to Beat Ruined King: A League of Legends Story?

As already mentioned, Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is a single player role-playing and, as such, you should expect to spend quite a few hours with Miss Fortune, Pyke, Yasuo and all the other champions that make their appearance during the adventure. Unlike other modern role-playing games, however, Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is a considerably shorter experience, requiring between 20 and 30 hours to beat the main story and see its ending.
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story does feature multiple difficulty settings that can cut down, or increase, the total number of hours required to complete it. On Story difficulty, for example, you are able to skip combat altogether if you so wish, something that significantly cuts down total playtime. On the other hand, Veteran and Stoic difficulties will increase your total playtime, as you will end up losing more to regular enemies and bosses due to the increased combat difficulty and you may be forced to grind for experience points every now and then. Learning all skills and discovering every little secret in Bilgewater will also require time, so completionists are looking at way more than just 30 hours of play time.
The multiple difficulty settings allow players of all skill levels to tailor the Ruined King: A League of Legends Story experience to their liking, so, no matter how good you are at turn-based role-playing games, you are sure to have a very good time with the game, no matter how long it will be.
