Having already drawn in over 4 million players during its 2018 release in Asia, the hugely successful tactical RPG Brown Dust has now launched globally for iOS and Android. And with over 250,000 pre-registered players on Android alone, this one looks set to become a colossal name in the mobile RPG genre.
The story of Brown Dust has a bit of everything: assassinations, tremendous political upheaval, raging wars between once friendly nations, and troubling family mysteries. As the son of Emperor Altair II’s assassin, the burden of returning peace to the land of Brown Dust falls to you and your merry band of mercenaries. It’s not an easy job, but someone’s gotta do it.
Combat is designed to be accessible and yet deeply layered, fostering creative playstyles and tactical thought. It’s all turn-based, but each battle is kept short and sweet. And, of course, armies are not amassed overnight, so you’re going to have to spend some time recruiting and upgrading mercenaries that you encounter along your adventure. Once you’ve built up a decent force, you should try your hand at the co-op raids, world bosses, dungeons, and guild-based PVP content.
Logging in daily (and getting in early) is recommended, as from March 7th to March 17th you can net yourself 10 new recruits a day. On top of the introductory events, publisher Neowiz plans to release a wealth of new content for some time to come, so there’s always going to be something new and exciting to try out.
