Pokémon GO Sustainability Week Event (2022) – Schedule, Bonuses, & More

Niantic has announced the details of Pokemon Go’s upcoming event, known as the Sustainability Week. The event kicks off on April 20 and continues until April 25. Once again, a bunch of Pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the wild during this time frame.

On top of this, trainers will receive special in-game bonuses and new Timed Research tasks to work through. Niantic has revealed the complete details of the upcoming Sustainability Week event. So without any further ado, let’s dive deep into the details.

Everything about the Pokemon Go Sustainability Week event

Pokémon GO Sustainability Week will be taking place from Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Monday, April 25, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Trainers have six days to complete all the Research tasks and grab all the bonuses.

The following Pokémon will be appearing more frequently in the wild:

  • Oddish
  • Grimer
  • Turtwig
  • Grotle
  • Cherubi
  • Trubbish
  • Ferroseed
  • Oranguru

The Pokémon will be appearing also more frequently, but as rare spawns:

  • Venusaur
  • Phantump

Pokemon Go Sustainability Week Event Bonuses

  • 2x XP for spinning PokeStops for the first time

Community Day Timed Research

Complete Timed Research during Community Day and we’ll plant trees! From Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time there will be Timed Research available. Each phase will require you to adventure 1 km, and doing so will earn you an encounter with Cherubi.

During the entire day of April 23, 2022, every Trainer who adventures 5 km during Community Day, Niantic will plant a tree (up to 100,000 trees). So get exploring!

Collection Challenge

A nature-inspired Collection Challenge is coming! Complete it to contribute to your Elite Collector medal and earn a Mossy Lure Module and 15 Great Balls. Two of the Pokémon you’ll need to catch—Gloom and Weepinbell—will only appear when you use a Mossy Lure Module.

Field Research Task Encounters

The following Pokémon will be available to encounter when you complete Field Research tasks:

  • Mega Venusaur Energy
  • Mega Abomasnow Energy
