Pokemon Go launched the Shiny variants of Pokemon and, they have been a hit with the players. As pleasing as they look, they are hard to come by. Today, we’ll look at Cranidos and its Shiny counterpart.

Shiny Cranidos first stepped into Pokemon Go during the Ultra Unlock event. Since then, the rock-type Pokemon has been quite hard to find and catch. Here’s a guide on how to find and catch Cranidos.

How to Catch Cranidos in Pokemon Go

To catch Cranidos, you first need to find Cranidos. The Pokemon is likely to appear in a 7km egg. So, to get Cranidos, use your Incubators on all the 7km eggs.

Next, you are likely to encounter Cranidos in the wild. To increase your chances, use incense or other items that temporarily boost the spawn rate. If it’s your lucky day, you might stumble upon Cranidos in its Shiny form.

The last alternative is through raids. Cranidos shows up in 1-star raids. You are on your own in this one as it is a single-player thing.

Cranidos, being a rock-type Pokemon, is vulnerable against Water, Fighting, Grass, Ground, and Steel Pokemon. The best choices would be Zacian, Metagross, Lucario, Kingler among others.

Fire, Normal, Flying, and Poison Pokemon may not put up the best fight against Cranidos. Its special attack is “Ancient Power” which can be difficult for these Pokemon types to beat.
