Pokemon Go’s next Community Day classic will occur on May 21, 2022, setting its sights on Alolan Geodude. As it’s clear from the event’s name, Alolan Geodude will be appearing more frequently in the wild during the Pokemon Go Alolan Geodude Community Day.
Similar to the previous events, trainers will need a ticket to partake in the Alolan Geodude Community Day special research tasks. The ticket can be purchased from the Pokemon Go in-game store for US$1.00 once the classic day begins. By the end of this guide, you will learn everything about this event.
Pokemon Go Alolan Geodude Community Day — Start Date & Time
The Alolan Geodude Community Day event in Pokemon Go will commence on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. local time. Players can enjoy a three-hour lure and grab the event bonuses during this time frame.
Event Bonuses
Trainers can avail of the following in-game bonuses that will be activated during the Alolan Geodude Community Day event:
- 3× Catch Stardust
- Incense activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day Classic for a surprise!
- One additional Special Trade during the Community Day hours.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust during the Community Day Hours.
- 2x Catch Candy.
- 2x chance to get Geodude XL Candy from catching Alolan Geodude.
There’ll be a special one-time-purchase Community Day Box available for 975 PokéCoins, featuring 1 Lucky Egg, one Super Incubator, one Star Piece, and an Elite Fast TM.

Will Shiny Alolan Geodude appear during the event?
Yes, Niantic has confirmed that players will also encounter a Shiny Alolan Geodude during the Alolan Geodude Community Day.
Normally, the odds behind the appearance of any Shiny Pokemon is approximately 1 in 500. However, during this community day event, Shiny Alolan Geodude might appear 1 in 25 times as per The Silph Road report.
So Trainers should definitely roam around a couple of hours if they always wanted to include a Shiny variant of Alolan Geodude to their Pokemon collection.
