There’s not many games like Offroad Outlaws, so if you’re looking for the coolest offroading experience, you’ve come to the right place! Let’s get you out there with our Offroad Outlaws cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!

Go for the Trails!

If you tap the little map icon at the top left, you’ll bring up an overhead view of the map you’re currently in. If you look closely you can see little green and red dots scattered about the map. The green dots are “Challenge Trail” markers. These trails are mini races that set a bunch of posts around a trail for you to follow.

To complete the trail, you’ll need to drive through all of the posts and reach the flare at the end. Completing a trail will net you a base amount of cash, but if you can beat the specified times, you’ll earn bonus cash!

There’s no limit to the amount of times you can try a trail, so keep practicing until you know a trail by heart. That’s the best way to reach those number 1 times, and you’ll be racking in the dough once you do so!

Buy either a Quad or Truck and upgrade one!

Upon starting Offroad Outlaws for the first time, you’ll be immediately granted enough cash to buy both a Truck and a Quad. The truck is the most balanced out of all the vehicles, while the Quad is a little more speedy but has less control.

The game will suggest that you buy both, but you can actually decide on one and spend the rest of the money on upgrades for it. This will give you a big boost starting out, so choose wisely! Ultimately it’s up to you which route you go, but give it some thought!

Experiment with the different drive states!

At the top left corner of the screen next to the map button, you’ll see three different buttons that alter how your vehicle drives. Utilizing these changes are the key to getting through the bumpy wilderness.

  • The first button shifts between high and low gear. High gear gives you more power and speed while low gear give you better traction and control.
  • The button with the four wheels controls “differential lock”. You can prevent your front or rear wheels from spinning at different speeds, which is useful for keeping your vehicle balanced while lowering your maximum speed.
  • The button with green wheels shifts between FWD, RWD, and 4WD. Front Wheel Drive shifts all of your power to the nose of your vehicle, which is good for balanced driving. Rear Wheel Drive has the power come from the rear of your car, which is gives it more power for climbing, offroading, and more. 4WD is a nice balance between both modes.

This is, of course, just a small briefing on the different drive states but the game is much more complex than this. We’re not car experts though, so you’ll need to experiment…

Experiment with the Drivetrain!

… with the Drivetrain! The “Power” category allows you to boost your vehicle’s stats through simple straight upgrades, but the Drivetrain category is a whole different beast.

In here, you’ll be able to fine tune the smallest details of your vehicle allowing it to excel at specific things. For example, you can tune shocks and wheels allowing you to handle difficult terrain with ease. You’ll need to play around with settings to find your best car!

That’s all for Offroad Outlaws. If you have any other tips or tricks to share, let us know in the comments below!
