Monster Hunter Now Halloween Event Guide

Starting October 25 and lasting until October 31, the world of Monster Hunter Now is getting a Halloween-themed makeover. Here are all the major parts of this limited-time event.

New event armor: Jack-o’-Head

During the event period, Hunters will receive a Halloween Pumpkin Hunt set of special quests, in addition to their normal daily quests. These quests require Hunters to take down a large amount of monsters to gather materials to earn Pumpkin Tickets.

Pumpkin Tickets can be used to craft the Jack-o’-Head event armor, which grants the skill Solidarity (Pumpkin Hunt). This skill increases your Hunter’s attack power when you’re in a party with Hunters who are also wearing the Jack-o’-Head. The more Hunters wearing the Jack-o’-Head, the stronger the effect. Additionally, during the Halloween event, the multiplier is boosted by five times!

To craft the Jack-o’-Head, you’ll need:

  • Pumpkin Ticket x 10
  • Kulu-Ya-Ku Beak x 1
  • Monster Bone M x 1

You’ll need lots of Pumpkin Tickets, so make sure to complete as many of the Halloween quests as possible. You should have no problem with the small monster kills, but the larger ones will require some time. You’ve got until the end of October to finish the quests, so make sure to play Monster Hunter Now while you go trick-or-treating!

New event monster: Pumpkin Kulu-Ya-Ku

The monsters are getting in on the fun, too! Starting on October 28 and lasting until the end of the event, unique Kulu-Ya-Kus will appear in the field. These guys look like normal Kulu-Ya-Kus at first, but when they starting pulling items out of the ground, they’ll dig up pumpkins instead of rocks! Slaying these special Kulu-Ya-Kus rewards you with Pumpkin Tickets, so keep an eye out for them.

New shop item: Halloween Pack

There’s also a new Halloween-exclusive premium pack for sale. You can purchase this pack from the in-game shop for 9.99 USD, and it contains the following:

  • Potion x 10
  • Paintball x 2
  • Wander Droplet x 2
  • Special Carving Knife x 2

That’s it for Monster Hunter Now’s first-ever Halloween event. What do you think of the event so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
