The much-awaited huge Minecraft update is just around the corner. Minecraft’s developers, Mojang, have announced that the Minecraft 1.18 update, called Caves & Cliffs part 2, is releasing on November 30, 2021. Fans were expecting the second half of Caves & Cliffs to drop before the year ends, but receiving it before December begins was a pleasant surprise to all!
Through the Caves & Cliffs part 2 update, there are going to be some fundamental changes in the game’s engine itself, as the world will acquire higher mountains and deeper caves for people to explore, as well as several new variations of flora and fauna. The game’s upper and lower limits are being pushed further to create heights and depths in the overworld that weren’t possible to achieve before.
Apart from increasing the heights and depths of the Minecraft world, the Caves & Cliffs part 2 update is re-configuring the way ore, like gold, iron, and copper, are generated throughout the game.
Players who love venturing into Minecraft’s caves will now be pleased to find new and improved detailing and visual features such as large vines, daunting stalactites, and multi-level caverns sprawling with aquifers. Mojang also announced that certain biomes will be combined, letting a desert or forest—for example—populate on one side of a mountain.
Fans are simply referring to the upcoming update as ‘Minecraft 2.0.’ Since the game is going through so many drastic changes, you might as well call it a remake of sorts.
Mojang mentioned that with each update that they pump out, they try to please every type of fan, while not ruining the essence of the game: its charming simplicity. They want to make sure they still maintain the game the way it was when people all around the world fell in love with it for the very first time.
