Metroid games are not known to be huge time-sinkers, so players can expect to complete the game in a relatively short amount of time, compared to other modern games. Here’s exactly how long it will take you to complete the game.

Metroid Dread

As mentioned above, Metroid games are not known for their huge length, usually clocking at around 10 hours for a regular playthrough. In this case, Metroid Dread is not that different from the most recent entries in the series, as it takes around 12 hours to complete the game with a good amount of secrets discovered. This is pretty much in line with the previous Metroid game, Metroid: Samus Return, which required around 11 hours to beat.

If you’re looking to complete Metroid Dread with a true 100% completion, you will be spending a few additional hours with the game, as it takes around 14 hours to discover everything there is to. The game also has a very unique way of keeping track of your playtime, as it doesn’t count the time you spend looking at the map, so your actual playtime could be longer than that displayed in-game. You can use the Nintendo Switch account management options to see how much time you really spent playing the game.
