Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy truly has it all, when it comes to boss battles. During the course of the adventure, you will fight all sorts of creatures, including a few monstrous ones that require you to be always on your toes to defeat them.
This is definitely the case of Fin Fang Foom, a giant dragon that can kill you in a few hits. Here’s everything you need to know to defeat it.
How to Beat Fin Fang Foom in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
Fin Fang Foom can potentially be the most difficult boss fight up until Chapter 13, but it isn’t as bad as it looks and you can take it out with ease if you follow some simple strategies.
At the start of the fight, the alien dragon will be immune to all damage as it is covered by armor, and it will be up to Star Lord to take this armor down with his elemental shot. Use Fire Shots to melt the armor off the boss, and once you have melted four piece of it, you will finally be able to damage the boss.
At this point, the best strategy to employ is to keep some distance from Fin Fang Foom and continue attacking with regular shots and abilities. The dragon will continue shooting fireballs at you and making some powerful sweeping attacks, but you should be able to dodge them easily if you’re focused and a good distance away from it.
Some time after the armor has been melted, and enough damage has been dealt, Fin Fang Foom will launch an icicle at you. This icicle can be picked by Drax and Groot to attack the boss, which will fall to the ground defenseless after it has gotten a taste of its own medicine. Use this opportunity to unleash your most powerful abilities and deal as much damage as possible. If you did things right, the boss will be defeated at this point. If not, repeat the previous strategy, wait for the icicle attack, command Drax and Groot to launchit back at the boss to knock it down again, and unleash hell on it!
