Race into the future in Lightstream Racer, a one-touch racing game where you ride light cycles on laser tracks! Timing is key, as drifting through the twists and turns will get you fast times! Lightstream Racer also features a really cool AR mode that lets you race in reality! Our Lightstream Racer cheats and tips will show you how to master the light tracks!
Lightstream Racer is all about taking the turns well, so read on to find out how to do just that in our Lightstream Racer cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide!
Master the Mag Grip!
Once you play a couple of tracks, you will quickly notice that your bike can’t grip the corners too well on its own. If you let go of accelerate when approaching a turn, you might still go overboard if you have enough speed. Instead of relying on simply slowing down, try using the Mag Grip!
The Mag Grip is basically your bike’s brakes, as activating them will make your bike come to a screeching halt. However, you can actually accelerate and activate your Mag Grip at the same time. This will lower your max speed, but you’ll be able to take most turns perfectly safe.
Of course, you can also be a little more proactive and tap the Mag Grip button sporadically. This will slow you but only a little bit, letting you take turns quicker. This is a bit riskier than using both the Mag Grip and accelerate at the same time, but master this and you can get through turns very fast.
Get the Launch Assist!
When you’re starting a race, watch the countdown timer carefully. Wait for the 3, 2, 1, and then as soon as you see GO, tap the accelerate button. If you time this right you will see “Launch Assist” appear on the screen and your bike will get a significant boost in speed. The Launch Assist is a great way to start the race and could give you the boost you need in nailing that lap time.
If you don’t get the Launch Assist boost, you can simply restart the level and try again if you wish. The Launch Assist is crucial on certain modes – especially if you’re playing Ranked – so if you miss it, you may as well restart.
Keep the Momentum Boost!
See the little blips above the accelerate button? That’s your Momentum gauge! Every time you complete a lap (this obviously does not apply to Career mode with its single lap races), you will gain a point into Momentum Boost!
This increases your top speed, and it will keep increasing whenever you complete a new lap. However – should your bike go careening off course just once, you will lose ALL momentum boosts!
In 360 race and Rival Challenge, the Momentum Boost is probably the most important aspect of your race. Full momentum boost is absolutely vital to nailing down the best times, so take care not to fly off the course!
Practice in Career before Rival Challenge!
Rival Challenge is where the real game starts when you go up against other players! Before you do this however, we highly recommend practicing on Career mode. The tracks you race on Rival Challenge are the same as the ones you’ll encounter in Career mode, so it’s a great place to start.
That’s all for Lightstream Racer! If you have any other tips or tricks to share, let us know in the comments below!
